Harare, March 25, 2026 - Cuba's decision to defend its sovereignty in the face of the tightened US blockade was highlighted on Wednesday by Zimbabwe's leading newspaper, The Herald, after analyzing recent statements made by that nation's Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez.
Cuba will not waver in its commitment to defending its independence and sovereignty despite constant external pressure, Rodriguez stated at the 10th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) held in Colombia.

"Cuba condemns in the strongest terms the attacks perpetrated on February 28 by the United States and Israel, which violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran," stated the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Mauritius Foreign Minister Receives Cuban Ambassador
Port Louis, February 28, 2026 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius, the Honorable Dhananjay Ramful, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, with a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
During the productive meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador discussed opportunities to advance ties between the two countries in various areas and advocated for greater coordination in international forums.
