The Herald Zimbabwe publishes call to lift US blockade of Cuba

Harare, September 24, 2025 – The Herald today published a call for international solidarity in Zimbabwe demanding the immediate lifting of the US blockade of Cuba, which has lasted more than 60 years.

The african nation's leading newspaper reflected Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa's call for global support in the context of the upcoming vote in the United Nations General Assembly on the resolution demanding an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the Caribbean island.

100 Years with Fidel from Zimbabwe

Harare, September 22, 2025 – Members of the Cuban Embassy and the Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe today, in the centennial year, paid tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, before the monument that bears his name in this capital.

Zanu-PF Political Bureau Member announces participation in Party events in Cuba

Harare, September 17, 2025 – Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) Political Bureau Member Ishmael Mada announced today his upcoming visit to Cuba to participate in the Third Meeting of Left-Wing Theoretical Publications in October.

During a cordial meeting with the Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, the Director of the Zanu-PF School of Ideology, Chitepo, confirmed that he will also attend the Granma Rebelde Festival, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the newspapers founded by the Historic Leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Cuban and Swedish Ambassadors to Zimbabwe defend International law and Multilateralism

Harare, September 11, 2025—The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa, and her Swedish counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Per Lindgarde, agreed today on the need for respect for international law and multilateralism.
