Zimbabwe's Minister of Justice Receives Cuban Ambassador

Harare, January 23, 2026 – The Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs of Zimbabwe, Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, in an official meeting.

The Head of the diplomatic mission discussed with the Minister the bilateral results of the past year's work and the follow-up to legal frameworks in specific areas of focus, demonstrating the continued excellence of the relations between the two countries.

Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Receives Cuban Ambassador

Harare, January 22, 2026 – The Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, met with the new Director for the Americas and Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Livit Mugejo.

Pérez Mesa and Mugejo reviewed current bilateral projects and the legal framework under which work was carried out during 2025 to strengthen relations in various areas.

The Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed condolences to the Caribbean nation for the 32 comrades who died in the line of duty in Venezuela during the US aggression.

Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association Condemns Aggression Against Venezuela

Harare, January 5, 2026 - The Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association (ZICUFA) today strongly condemned the United States' military aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of its President, Nicolás Maduro.

"We express our deepest concern about this cowardly action, which constitutes a criminal act violating International Law and the Charter of the United Nations," ZICUFA stated.
