Vientiane, January 19, 2023. The Director General of the Department of International Relations and Mass Organizations, of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Central Committee of the Lao Revolutionary People's Party, comrade Keo Makhaphone, received Ambassador Enna Viant Valdes on a courtesy call.
During the meeting, both parties agreed on the importance of cooperation and mutual support in various spheres and international forums, which were strengthened after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
The diplomat Viant Valdes, conveyed during the meeting the gratitude of the Cuban Party and Government for the invaluable and sustained contribution of Laos to the Cuban resolution, which calls for an end to the illegal and protracted economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, which has lasted for more than 60 years and prevents its development.
The meeting took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
