Copenhagen, October 21, 2020. The Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, held a fraternal meeting with the President of the Danish Communist Party (KP), Jorgen Petersen, at the diplomatic headquarters of our country.
At the meeting, they were able to exchange widely on current issues, international affairs, and the promotion of bilateral ties.
The Cuban Ambassador reiterated the appreciation of our Embassy for the solidarity, which during these months of pandemic, the KP has developed within the framework of the international campaign to end the criminal economic blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people.
The diplomat of the Greater Antilles also thanked the KP for the work of making the humanist vocation of our people known, which has deployed more than 3,700 doctors of the Henry Reeve Contingent, organized in 46 medical brigades, to 39 countries and territories affected by COVID-19, which has deserved international recognition in favor of our doctors being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
At the meeting, the ties of friendship between our two parties and peoples were confirmed.
The communist leader attended the meeting accompanied by Sven Erik, who at the same time is the President of the Dano-Cuban Friendship Association.
