The Ambassador of Cuba receives the UN Resident Coordinator in Jamaica

The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, yesterday received a courtesy call from Mr. Garry Conille, the new United Nations Resident Coordinator in Jamaica.

Kingston, Jamaica, 29 October 2020. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, yesterday received a courtesy call from Mr. Garry Conille, the new United Nations Resident Coordinator in Jamaica.

The Cuban diplomat and the UN representative briefly exchanged on issues of common interest, especially about the latter’s mission in such a significant organization.

Garry Conille assumed duties in Jamaica in September 2020 and will simultaneously serve in Jamaica and countries and territories in the Caribbean region, including The Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The new UN Resident Coordinator in Jamaica has a long international career and has held several positions in the United Nations system.
