The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González saw off the Minister for Youth and Sports and member of the Parliament of Ghana, Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, in his travel to Cuba.
The Minister, as the head of a delegation of four members, will participate in Cuba in the 7th International Convention of Physical Activity and Sport (AFIDE 2017), after invitation received from the President of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of Cuba (INDER, acronym in Spanish) Dr. Antonio E. Becalli.
The visit to Cuba of the Minister is the first by a member of the Ghanaian cabinet of the current government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The mutual interest in resuming collaboration in the sports field was reaffirmed in the exchange held at the airport.
