The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was interviewed at the Embassy's premises by a team from the TV station Kantanka TV, related to the 56th Anniversary of the African Union.
During the interview conducted by journalist Samuel Amoateng, the Cuban diplomat made reference to historical relations with Africa and the AU, and to the legacy of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, in the construction of bonds of solidarity with the Post-colonial African states.
The Ambassador Despaigne, after highlighting the strengths of the region in the current block world, referred to Cuba's commitment to continue working on the training of African professionals, as well as the confidence that Africa under the leadership of the African Union (AU) will find its own path of development.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked the AU for its firm position of condemning the economic and commercial economic blockade that Cuba has suffered for more than fifty years, and which has been reinforced under the current US administration.
The Kantanka TV station is part of a Ghanaian group of enterprises, which started with the production of automobiles. Currently these automobiles have recognition for their quality and design.
