AMBASSADOR OF CUBA VISIT THE ORTHODOX ARCHBISHOP OF ATHENS AND ALL OF GREECE

The Ambassador of Cuba Aramís Fuente Hernández paid a courtesy visit to His Beatitude Ieronymos II, Orthodox Archbishop of Athens and of all Greece, and presented him his respects at the headquarters of the Orthodox Archbishopric.
During the meeting, His Beatitude Ieronymos II inquired about the current situation in Cuba. Offering him information, the ambassador also told him about the Greek Orthodox Church of San Nicolás de Mira, located very close to the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, in the Historic Center of Havana. He recalled that it was consecrated in 2004 and blessed by the Patriarch His All Holiness Bartolomeo, in a ceremony in which Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was present.
