The Cuban ambassador to Cambodia spoke with Cambodian health personnel on the eve of the Khmer New Year commemoration. At the Hospital Ong Duong, he conveyed to director, Dr. Lou Ly Kheang, admiration for the commendable work carried out in the current epidemiological context, where they remain in the front row of confrontation.
The Caribbean diplomat took the opportunity to refer to the historic ties of friendship and solidarity between Cuba and Cambodia, and highlighted that the health sector has been a fundamental pillar in six decades of diplomatic ties. Doctors present at the meeting recalled the medical presence of Cuba on Asian land, as well as the experiences shared with their Cambodian colleagues and the careful attention to patients.
