Kingston, 15 March 2023. Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, paid a visit to the Institute of Jamaica, during which he held a meeting with Mr. Leslie Harrow, Executive Director of the Institute and directors of institutions linked to the work of this centre.
During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the historical and cultural links that unite both nations. He agreed on the importance of strengthening collaboration in areas such as the teaching of local and Caribbean history, the conservation of native flora and fauna and the restoration of museum collections and sculptures.
As part of his visit, he toured the exhibition halls of the National Museum of Jamaica, where he was able to appreciate the history and traditions of the sister nation.
