Nigeria, April 17th, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was invited to participate in a group of conferences that are given at the Nigerian National Defence College, as part of the high-level preparation program that is taught in that military Institute.
During her visit, the Cuban diplomat talked about the issue of the current Cuban reality, achievements and challenges, essentially in the field of health, education, economy and defence. In the same way, she exemplified how the Cuban people, despite the genocide US blockade and its negative impact on the life of the country, have managed to advance in different spheres of vital importance for their survival, such was the case of being able to present their own vaccines to combat the COVID19 pandemic, amid an intensification of economic warfare measures against the island imposed by the US administration and the global crisis generated by the virus.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and respect. The moment was also propitious for the Cuban ambassador to respond to different doubts and concerns about Cuba from the senior officials of the Defence College.
On the Cuban side, the Counsellor Pavel Bauzá Fusté was also present, who also exposed some elements of interest during the conference.
