Ambassador of Cuba is welcome by Director of the Americas of the Irish Foreign Ministry.

Dublin, April 3, 2019. In the framework of the fluid exchange between the Cuban diplomatic representation in Dublin and the local Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the head of Cuban mission, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a working meeting with Ambassador Brian Glynn, director for the Americas, in which was also present the deputy director Lorraine Cooke.

The meeting was an occasion to exchange information about the results of the recent visit to Havana by the delegation headed by Minister of State Finian McGrath, Ambassador Glynn and the concurrent Ambassador Barbara Jones, on the occasion of the celebration of St. Patrick Day  and that both sides described as satisfactory, expression of the cordial bonds of friendship existing between both nations.

Cuba and Ireland will celebrate in October the twentieth anniversary of their diplomatic relations, an event that both chancelleries intend to commemorate with various activities to be held in Havana, Dublin, whose coordination was also on the agenda of the recently held meeting.                     

Both sides addressed other topics of bilateral interest in a frank and cordial atmosphere.
