Dublin, October 21, 2019. The Irish President, Michael Higgins, officially received in his residence our President Miguel Díaz-Canel and the delegation that accompanies him, a close and gentle meeting, beyond all formality.
At the gates of the Official Residence of the President of Ireland, known as Áras an Uachtarain and located north of the city, last Monday the Cuban flag was raised, as a detail of the prelude to the official reception.
Dublin, April 3, 2019. In the framework of the fluid exchange between the Cuban diplomatic representation in Dublin and the local Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the head of Cuban mission, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a working meeting with Ambassador Brian Glynn, director for the Americas, in which was also present the deputy director Lorraine Cooke.
Dublin, November 5, 2018. The designated Ambassador of Ireland in Cuba, H. E. Barbara Jones and the Cuban Ambassador in Dublin, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a fruitful working meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban embassy this morning, in which they exchanged views on the actions that could be developed in the short term and strengthen the expansion of bilateral relations in various sectors of mutual interest.
Aodhán Hamill the youth leader of the Sinn Féin party paid a visit to the Cuban embassy and held a fraternal and lively meeting with Ambassador Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes.
The Cuban diplomat explained details about the activities developed by the Federation of Middle School Students and the Federation of University Students as the main youth organizations that group Cuban students, as well as the links of these two federations with the Union of Young Communists, the main natural quarry for the Communist Party.
Within the framework of a joint visit to the city of Cork, on the occasion of the annual National Famine Commemoration, which was hosted by the University of Cork, a representation of the Ambassadors of GRULAC residing in Ireland, composed of the Chiefs mission of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Mexico, held a courtesy meeting with the Lord Major of Cork, Tony Fitzgerald, who outlined the county's growth projects in territory and population, as well as the perspectives that are opening for a more extensive collaboration with other cities.
Dublin, January 24, 2018. The President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, received this morning at the official residence the Heads of accredited Diplomatic Missions, on the occasion of the traditional new year´s greetings.
Cuban Ambassador Hugo René Ramos Milanés, conveyed the greetings and best wishes for success and prosperity for the Head of State and the Irish people.
