Ambassadors of Cuba and Ireland hold a fruitful working meeting.

Dublin, November 5, 2018. The designated Ambassador of Ireland in Cuba, H. E. Barbara Jones and the Cuban Ambassador in Dublin, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a fruitful working meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban embassy this morning, in which they exchanged views on the actions that could be developed in the short term and strengthen the expansion of bilateral relations in various sectors of mutual interest.

Cuba and Ireland will fulfill in 2019 the Twentieth Anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries, a period in which bilateral ties have been strengthened and expanded. The celebration of this important event was at the center of the attention of both ambassadors, as part of the follow-up to the agreements adopted at the recent bilateral meeting of diplomatic political consultations that both chancelleries held at the beginning of last October in Dublin, headed by Ana Teresita González Fraga, Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and by Niall Burgess, Secretary General of the Irish Foreign Ministry.
