Victoria, 11 December 2025: H.E Mrs. Iraida de la Caridad Guerrero Zuñiga , Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Seychelles, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Mr. Barry Faure, at Maison Quéau de Quinssy.
Both diplomats discussed the excellent relations that exist between Seychelles and Cuba and the bilateral cooperation, namely in the medical and education sectors. The discussions also explored additional avenues for collaboration, including sports, culture.
Also present at the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Mr. Barry Faure, Principal Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Mr. Ian Madeleine, Director of Bilateral Affairs Ms. Lindy Ernesta, and Desk Officer Ms. Elsa Lepathy. (EmbaCuba Seychelles)
