Inauguration of the 11th. Seychelles Dance Biennial was inaugurated with the participation of Cuba as guest country

Victoria, 15th July._ The 11th Biennal of Dance of Seychelles was officially inaugurated yesterday, an event that brings together dancers from Russia, Mauritius, Rodrigues Island, Cuba and Seychelles.

The festival is organized by the National Conservatory of Performing Arts - School of Dance, under the auspices of the Seychelles National Arts and Crafts Council.

Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles attends Constitution Day Celebration

Victoria, Seychelles._ June is the month of national pride, unity and celebration in Seychelles.

The first took place this Tuesday, June 18th, with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of its Constitution, with the traditional flag-raising ceremonies on the three most populated islands of the archipelago: Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. The Cuban Ambassador attended the first flag raising ceremony which took place on the main island of Mahe, at the “Lavwa Lanasyon” monument.

Cuban officials visit Seychelles' cultural and heritage sites

As part of the visit to the islands of Praslin and La Digue, the Cuban Ambassador, Martha Hernandez and the Minister Counsellor, Tomas Mendez, visited the Vallé de Mai Nature Reserve. This reserve was declared a natural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 1983, for the priceless value of its flora and fauna, for having the largest plantations of the Coco de Mer, an endemic species of the archipelago, which produces the largest seed in the world that can exceed 20 kg in weight, a unique tree which is the pride and symbol of Seychelles.

Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles participates in annual tribute to the war veterans and soldiers of the two world wars

Victoria, 10th Noverber._The Cuban Ambassador participated in the annual commemorative ceremony in honor of the fallen and veterans of Seychelles who fought in the First and Second World Wars.

The ceremony was attended by President Wavel Ramkalawan, Vice President Ahmed Afif, ministers, veterans and relatives of the fallen, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.

This commemoration is organized every year to remember those who fought for peace during both wars, while promoting the development of diplomatic ties between all nations.

Cuban Embassy invited to the activities of the Kreól Festival in Seychelles

Victoria, October 14, 2024._ the Kreól Festival takes place every year in Seychelles, an occasion in which all Seychellois come together to celebrate, show and appreciate their rich cultural diversity.  

With the exhibition “Kwen Tapi”, which shows various aspects of Creole culture, the 39th edition of the event was officially inaugurated at the Kenwyn House art gallery in Victoria, to which the Cuban Embassy was invited.

Embassy of China in Seychelles celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China

Victoria, September 19th. The Chinese Embassy in Seychelles celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. H.E. Ms. Lin Nan, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles, underlined the excellent bilateral ties between China and Seychelles, strengthened by the participation of the President, H.E. Wavel Ramkalawan, at the China-Africa Cooperation Summit (FOCAC) held from 4-6 September 2024, where the two countries also upgraded the relations to the level of “strategic partnership”.

Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles meets with Leader of Government Business in the Parliament

Victoria, May 21st, 2024._The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles, Martha Hernández Caneiro, held a cordial meeting with the  Government Business in the Parliament, Hon. Bernard George, in which they exchanged topics of interest in the bilateral agenda and expressed their willingness to continue developing the political-diplomatic dialogue and the relations of friendship and cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Seychelles celebrates Annual Diplomatic Cocktail

Victoria 25 February._ Members of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Seychelles participated in the Annual Diplomatic Cocktail organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Seychelles.

In his speech, Minister Sylvestre Radegonde, thanked the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as representatives of the offices of international organizations based in the country, for their continued support to Seychelles.
