Victoria, November 7th._ Cuban national team boxers Alejandro Claro Fiz, Luis Enrique Vinet García, and Anthony Fabars Rodríguez, along with their coach Walfrido Ilizastigui Romeli, are participating in a training program and activities in the Republic of Seychelles in preparation for their participation in the Gran Kaz 2025 International Boxing Tournament. They will participate in the friendly tournament alongside boxers from Seychelles, Russia, and Mauritius.
As part of the official program of activities, they carried out a daily training program at the Victoria Gym and visited the tourist regions of Anse Mayor and Beau Vallon. The Cuban team also attended the press conference organized by the event hosts and were interviewed by the Seychelles radio station, Pure FM 90.7. They thanked the Seychelles Youth and Sports Department, the Seychelles Boxing Federation, and the Gran Kaz Company for the invitation and hospitality.
They highlighted the importance of these exchanges for developing cooperation in boxing between the two countries. The official competition day will be November 8th at the Seychelles Popular Stadium, “Stade Popiler” in Victoria.
