Helsinki September 2, 2022.- The Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, held an exchange with protagonists of the Finland-Cuba academic agreement. The "Iris" project directed by Professor Jyrki Luukkanen has deployed intense research for more than 4 years focused on the use of natural renewable resources.
During the exchange, the academic presented multiple models found to generate renewable energy in Cuba, focused on the urgency of modifying its energy matrix.
Also present at the exchange was the Cuban researcher Anaely Saunders and her Finnish colleague Mika Korkeakoski, who commented on their upcoming stay in Cuba to evaluate these results.
Ambassador Beatriz Parra thanked the interest and support of this interdisciplinary group for advancing on an issue of great sensitivity and urgency for Cuba.
