Ambassador meets with Board of Directors and other members of the José Martí Cultural Association of Greece

The Cuban Ambassador met with members of the Board of Directors and other members of the José Martí Cultural Association of Greece in a friendly atmosphere.
The Cuban diplomat offered extensive information on the current situation in Cuba and the problems facing the national electrical energy system with the well-known impact on the supply of electricity. Likewise, the impact and the great damage caused by Hurricane Oscar and the exemplary response given by the Cuban people and authorities to face its consequences and achieve recovery in the shortest possible time were discussed.
The criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has maintained against the island for more than 6 decades was discussed, which is obsessively intensified, constituting the main obstacle to the development of the country and is the fundamental cause of the recent disconnection of the electrical system in the country. The meeting also highlighted the overwhelming support of the international community for the resolution approved by the United Nations General Assembly, with a vote of 187 in favor and two against, which calls for, for the 32nd consecutive time, the immediate cessation of this economic war that is the blockade.
Likewise, the maintenance of Cuba on the illegal and immoral list of countries supposedly promoting terrorism was rejected, and the decision to continue strengthening the work of solidarity with Cuba and its heroic people was reaffirmed.
