Mr. President,

Cuba welcomes the delegation of Grenada and appreciates that country's commitment to the Universal Periodic Review mechanism.

We welcome the progress made by Grenada in promoting and protecting the human rights of its people, particularly with regard to institutional strengthening, social inclusion, child protection and women's empowerment.

We recognise the ongoing legislative advances in education and in the implementation of processes aimed at ensuring the well-being of the most vulnerable sectors.

Cuba welcomes the ongoing efforts to implement the accepted recommendations.

We reiterate our best wishes to the sister nation of Grenada and express our support for the adoption of the report by consensus.
