Ambassador visits the exhibition "America, present, past, identity", with the presence of Cuba, at the Historical Museum of the University of Oslo

Oslo, March 6, 2023. This weekend, the ambassador of Cuba to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, visited the exhibition "America, present, past and identity", at the Historical Museum of the University of Oslo, dedicated mainly to the peoples of the American continent, especially the indigenous ones.

With the emotion that implies being so close to elements that evoke Cuban identity and culture in such a distant country, the diplomat paid special attention to the showcase dedicated to Santeria in Cuba.

It was very gratifying to see exhibited a lot of articles related to the Afro-Cuban religion, which were acquired in 2000, under the auspices of the Museum, by the Norwegian friend Anne Engh while she was carrying out in Cuba a research stay on Santeria for conducting the Thesis that would allow her to graduate from Social Anthropology.

The Ambassador was very grateful to Anne Engh for the invitation and the courtesy of accompanying her on this memorable visit, during which she provided interesting explanations that demonstrated her extensive knowledge on the subject. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
