Americas director receives ambassador to Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, August 20- The director of the Americas of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry Wan Aznainizam Yusri Wan Abd Rashid, received the Cuban ambassador to this country, Ibete Fernández Hernández on a courtesy visit.

During the cordial meeting, the diplomats reviewed the development of bilateral ties and addressed current issues related to the strategies of both countries to face Covid 19, an occasion used by Mr. Yusri to congratulate Cuba for obtaining a candidate vaccine against the pandemic.

Both agreed on the need to expand and strengthen bilateral ties, especially in the economic-commercial sector.
