The Anadolu press agency has produced several press materials to publicise the presence of the Cuban medical brigade in Turkey to assist the victims of the recent earthquakes.
The materials highlight how, despite the distance and the language barrier, the doctors are carrying out their medical work in a very humane manner and have been very well received by the Turkish population.
After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes, whose epicentre was in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş, which was described as the "disaster of the century", Cuban doctors also supported the efforts to heal the wounds of the victims.
"The 32-person health team, which arrived in Kahramanmaraş on February 12, was assigned to Kahramanmaraş Necip Fazıl City Hospital and Yörük Selim Polyclinic and the health centre in the Büyük Yapalak district of Elbistan."
"Cuban doctors work selflessly to restore the health of the patients they examine through an interpreter."
