Türkiye delivered 3,000 humanitarian aid items to communities affected by Hurricane Melissa in eastern Cuba, as a demonstration of solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples.
A delegation from the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES), led by Deputy Minister Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar, made a working visit to Turkey from December 8 to 10, 2025, which included a full program of meetings with Prof. Dr. Erol Ozvar, President of the Council of Higher Education, and Prof. Dr. Naci Gundogan, Vice President of the aforementioned Council, with whom they signed a Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation between the two countries.
