Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution as part of the UnblockCuba Campaign

Copenhagen, April 4. The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, in the Kingdom of Denmark, celebrated the 63rd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, during an act of solidarity -in the context of the #UnblockCuba campaign- that was organized at the headquarters of the 3F-BJMF Union, last Saturday, April 2.

The Cuban Ambassador to the Nordic nation, Roger López García, marked the date in the context of the campaign against the criminal US blockade, which has been used opportunistically during the pandemic. Likewise, he highlighted the victory of the armed people, and their Revolution, in the sands of Playa Girón, defending Socialism in April 1961.

The leader of the BJMF trade union organization, Henrik Juul Rasmussen, on behalf of the organization, transmitted a message of support for all the people of Cuba, recalling the social achievements made, the solidarity practiced during all these years, and the resistance of more than six decades against the criminal blockade.

The President of the Dano-Cuban Friendship Association, Sven Erik, highlighted his solidarity commitment, and the permanent support of the solidarity movement, to the fight for the elimination of this policy, in an act in which the President of the Communist Party ( KP), Lotte Rørtoft-Madsen, representatives of the unions, and of the Cuban Community in Denmark.

On a night that culminated in a "Cuban Party", the friends of solidarity joined the initiative of the "Media Marathon against the blockade", to denounce the illegal, immoral and criminal US policy against Cuba.
