Spanish Town, 6 May 2025. The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica Anabel Landrón Ochoa and a representation of the Educational Brigade, headed by its national coordinator Reynel Isalgué Isalgué, took part in the activities organised by the Crescent Primary School as part of Read Across Jamaica Day.
During the exchange with the students of the school, they discussed the literary work of our National Hero José Martí dedicated to ‘those who know how to love’ and shared fragments of the stories ‘Nené Traviesa’ and ‘Meñique’. They also answered questions about the history and culture of our country.
Read Across Jamaica Day is organised annually by the Jamaica Teachers' Association in the context of Education Week. This year's theme was ‘Enhancing Literacy and Peace through Multilingual Education’.
