Within the framework of the Working Group meeting of the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties, held on April 19 in Istanbul, an emotional program of solidarity activities with Cuba took place, including the evening titled “Cuba Ganará”, held in Kadıköy.
In this context, a significant gesture of international solidarity between women artists and social organizations was carried out, in which an artwork created under the direction of the painter Arzu Kılıçdoğan was presented to the Cuban delegation as an expression of support and fraternity. The artwork was presented on behalf of the instructor herself and Oya Benlioğlu Güleşen, from the Ataşehir Women’s Solidarity Committee.
The presentation was made to the Head of the Ideology Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Emilio Lozada García, to Central Committee member Elier Ramírez Cañedo, and to the Consul General of Cuba in Istanbul, Raúl Ernesto Madrigal Cárdenas.
The meeting, held in an atmosphere of cultural and political exchange, reaffirmed the bonds of solidarity between the participants and the Cuban delegation, highlighting the role of art as a bridge for communication and expression of mutual support within the broader framework of international solidarity activities with Cuba in Istanbul.
