Artists from Saint Lucia reject the US blockade against Cuba.

Two of Saint Lucia’s most relevant artists made public their solidarity with Cuba and the rejection of the United States blockade as part of the global campaign against this policy. The most important sculptor in the country, Jallim Eudovic, and the painter and writer Alwyn St. Omer broadcasted videos in which they express their admiration, sympathy and solidarity with Cuba that they consider a brotherly and close country, that has always been of the peoples of the world. At the same time, they call on the Government of the United States to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade and to the interventionist and offensive policies against Cuba. They recall that only the bases of dialogue, respect and the relationship between equals will be possible to develop a relationship beneficial to both countries and that contributes to regional stability. In his message expressing his solidarity with Cuba and against the blockade, Jallim Eudovic, is the most outstanding current sculptor of Saint Lucia, and among his works stands out the monument for the island’s 40th anniversary of Independence. Alwyn St. Omer, for his part, is an outstanding and renowned artist and son of Dunstan St. Omer, designer of the national flag of Saint Lucia.
