The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Türkiye received a condolence visit from Nahide Özkan, President of the José Martí Cuba–Türkiye Friendship Association, accompanied by members of the association’s board of directors, who came to convey their deepest sympathies for the loss in combat of 32 Cuban citizens, victims of the attack carried out by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Association conveyed a message of solidarity with the Cuban people and Government, as well as their respect and recognition for the sacrifice of those who lost their lives while carrying out internationalist missions, in defense of sovereignty and peace.
The delegation was received by the Counsellor in charge of Consular Affairs, Oscar Redondo Ramos, who expressed his gratitude for the gesture of solidarity and for the continued support of the José Martí Cuba–Türkiye Friendship Association for Cuba’s just causes and the principles of dignity, justice, and solidarity among peoples.
The Embassy of Cuba in Türkiye reiterated its sincere appreciation for the expressions of support received at this moment of sorrow, which reaffirm the bonds of friendship and fraternity between the Cuban and Turkish peoples.
