Cairo, April 7, 2026. In a letter addressed to the Cuban Ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, the Awtar Center for Artistic and Cultural Creativity in Palestine expressed its support and solidarity with Cuba in the face of U.S. threats and pressure against the island.
The letter conveys sincere greetings and deep respect to the people of Cuba, while expressing full solidarity with the Government and people of Cuba in the face of ongoing U.S. threats and pressure, as well as a firm defense of Cuba’s right to sovereignty, dignity, and self-determination. The letter rejects any form of external interference that undermines these fundamental principles.
We believe that culture is a powerful bridge between nations and a tool for resistance, unity, and peace. From Palestine to Cuba, we share common values such as perseverance, cultural pride, and the pursuit of justice and freedom. This is stated in the letter addressed to the Cuban diplomat.
The center, Awtar, is a nonprofit cultural and artistic organization dedicated to promoting creativity, cultural expression, and community engagement among young people and artists in Palestine.
