Positive repercussion in Egyptian media of the event in honor to José Martí on the 130th anniversary of his fall in combat

Cuba's National Hero remembered in Egypt

Cairo, May 19, 2025. Cubans, Latin Americans and Egyptians commemorated today in this capital the 130th anniversary of the fall in combat of the National Hero of that Caribbean island, José Martí, during the struggle for the independence of that country.

In front of Marti's bust, located in Al Horreya Park, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited here, Egyptian parties and friends of the Antillean country gathered to remember and pay homage to the most universal of Cubans.

Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association condemns Cuba's inclusion on U.S. State Department list

Cairo, May 15, 2025. The Egyptian-Cuban Friendship Association (CEFA) today condemned the inclusion of the Caribbean island in a U.S. list of countries that allegedly do not cooperate in the fight against terrorism. In a letter sent to the Cuban ambassador in Cairo, CEFA president Kamal Gaballa expressed his full solidarity with the people and government of that Antillean nation.

In the note, the Association affirmed that Havana is making exemplary efforts to combat terrorism at the international level.

Cuba and Egypt reaffirm willingness to advance in relations of cooperation

Cairo, May 11, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, held a fruitful meeting with the delegation that participated in the V Cuba-Health 2025 Convention and the Health for All Exhibition Fair.

During the meeting, the results of the visit and the prospects for cooperation in the areas of health and biopharmaceuticals were discussed. The Egyptian participants highlighted the excellent organization of the event and the positive meeting held with the Cuban Minister of Health, Jose Angel Portal. They also noted the visit of President Miguel Diaz-Canel to the Egyptian stand at the Health for All Fair.

Friendly meeting between Cuban and Vietnamese Ambassadors in Egypt

Cairo, May 6, 2025. Vietnamese Ambassador to Cairo, Nguyen Huy Dung, received his Cuban counterpart, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, at the Vietnamese Embassy in this capital.

The ambassadors exchanged on the historic and fraternal relations between the two countries, as well as on the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba that has been developed and strengthened in various fields over the years, including close coordination and mutual support between the two sides in regional and international multilateral forums.
