The Azerbaijan - Cuba Friendship Association today issued a statement demanding an end to the blockade by the United States on the Caribbean Island.
According to the website of the diplomatic mission in this Caucasian nation, the message of solidarity expresses that while the UN and other voices in the world call for cooperation and solidarity in these times of pandemic, the United States government persists in its genocidal blockade against Cuba and other nations.
The movement joins the organizations of the world that in recent days have asked the United States to end the blockade against the Cuban nation.
The Azeri solidarity reiterates that the Island of Freedom has suffered for six decades the impact of the blockade and once again the North American administration increases its genocidal policy with the purpose of harming an entire people to lead them to chaos and cause more victims.
The association highlights that the US government it denies the right to life to a nation that today provides solidarity aid with health personnel to more than 60 countries in the world and has already sent almost two dozen medical support brigades to the same number of countries in need of health personnel to confront the attacks of COVID-19.
The statement underlines that the blockade has been intensified causing irreparable damage to the brother Cuban people, at moments extraordinarily for all humanity.
Azerbaijani solidarity reiterates its condemnation of the blockade and draws attention to the fact that the only objective of the White House is to destroy the Cuban Revolution.
