They inform the media that the event was held at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and reaffirms the bonds of brotherhood between both nations.
He emphasizes that the vice president of the entity, Noemi Rabaza, stressed that these 27 years of uninterrupted bilateral relations have had an approach in various areas such as the arts, sports, culture, education and tourism.
We are grateful for the solidarity and support of the Azerbaijani Government in the struggle of the Cuban people against the genocidal political blockade, which today is getting worse with the activation of Chapter III of the Helms-Burton Law, he said.
Rabaza stressed that Azerbaijan has maintained its vote in favor of the Resolution that Cuba presents at the United Nations General Assembly against the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed by the United States for almost six decades.
In this way, the ICAP board indicated that it would be very important to have the presence of companies from the Eurasian country at the XXXVII International Fair of Havana, for the opportunities it offers for the exchange between both states and the identification of possible business.
"It is worth noting that, since the beginning of this year, the number of Azerbaijani tourists' trips to Cuba has increased, which demonstrates the will to promote ties with the island," he added.
The bonds of friendship between the nations date from the time of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, when thousands of young Cuban professionals were trained in that country.
They also report that for his part, the charge of Business of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cuba, Javanshir Salehov, said that his people feel a deep admiration for the Cuban Revolution, its heroes and martyrs.
Both media emphasize that the states will continue to strengthen their ties and this will create a favorable scenario for solidarity work.
