Bahamian Businessman Makes Donation to Cuba as Part of the 242+53 Campaign
Nassau, The Bahamas.— As part of the 242+53 “Unity Through Solidarity” campaign, Bahamian businessman Dr. Charles Kemp has made a donation to support hospital care in Cuba, consisting of medical supplies, consumable materials, basic equipment and specialized protective suits.
The contribution comes at a particularly challenging time for access to medicines, equipment and essential supplies in Cuba, amid the tightening of United States sanctions against the island. The donation reflects the willingness of individuals and sectors of Bahamian society to contribute, through solidarity, to the well-being of the Cuban people.
We express our appreciation to Dr. Charles Kemp for this gesture, which joins other expressions of support from Cuban residents in The Bahamas for the 242+53 campaign and contributes to strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of The Bahamas and Cuba.
