Barbadian Chancellery supports in the UN lifting the US blockade against Cuba.

The Barbadian government, through its chancellery, responded in positive terms to the note sent each year by the United Nations Secretary-General to the member states to express their views on the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States . To Cuba and its effects on that nation as well as on relations with the rest of the countries of the international community. Ms. Joyce Bourne, head of Multilateral Affairs, informed the Cuban Ambassador, Francisco Fernandez, of the positive response sent to the UN Secretariat, which is consistent with the historic position of her government in favor of unconditional lifting of that punitive measure Unilateral, which is in violation of international law. The diplomat thanked the gesture, which is the prelude to the discussion on this subject to be held in the General Assembly in September, and in which every year the Prime Minister or the Chancellor pronounce for ending this unjust measure against a Caribbean nation.
