Young Barbadians who will study medicine in Cuba sign the "Code of Ethics for Foreign Students."

This morning, August 8, young Barbadians Tia Zalinda Mitchell and Kwami Hashim Inniss signed the "Foreign Student Code of Ethics" as part of the scholarship process granted to them to study medicine in the Republic of Cuba. This cooperation program has been offered by our country to 159 countries around the world since 1961, allowing young foreigners to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies in various fields.

The Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) is the National Olympic Committee of this Caribbean island nation. On July 28, they invited several diplomatic missions accredited to the country to inform them that the organization's mission is to develop, promote, and protect the Barbados Olympic Movement, in accordance with the Olympic Charter. The leaders of this Olympic Committee invited the diplomats present to collaborate and develop initiatives to jointly commemorate the United Nations World Cleanup Day, which will be celebrated on September 20, 2025.

July 26th is a date of national significance for all Cubans, and it is also significant for Barbadians.

Barbadian National Significance Day is celebrated annually in Barbados to honor National Hero Clement Payne, who led the 1937 rebellion, igniting the workers' struggles that led to the creation of a strong labor and union movement and political parties that led to the independence movement, which gave rise to the 1937 Revolution and subsequently to the Barbadian nation and the independence of Barbados.
