Odalys Pérez Rodríguez, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and daughter of Cubana de Aviación pilot Wilfredo Pérez Pérez, Captain of Cubana de Aviación Flight 455, is visiting Barbados at the invitation of the Barbados-Cuba Solidarity Association to carry out a program of activities commemorating the 49th anniversary of the terrorist attack on Cubana de Aviación Flight 455 on October 6, 1976.
On August 24th, as part of the program for the Cuban delegation participating in CARIFESTA 2025, the panel "Talking about Cuba and Fidel. This morning, August 14th, Dr. Shanice Daniella Nigthengale, a young Barbadian medical graduate who graduated in Cuba, signed the "Code of Ethics for Foreign Students" as part of the scholarship process granted to her to continue her studies in our country. In this case, she will pursue postgraduate studies specializing in Child Psychiatry.
