Organizations and friends of Cuba in Barbados signed a declaration expressing their unwavering solidarity with the Cuban people in the face of escalating threats and actions that undermine the country's sovereignty, security, and development. The document recalls that Latin America and the Caribbean were proclaimed a Zone of Peace and rejects any measure that could lead to a military escalation with unpredictable consequences for the peoples of the region.
The declaration highlights Cuba's longstanding commitment to international solidarity, noting that its medical personnel, teachers, and other professionals have contributed for decades to the well-being of numerous nations, including those of the Caribbean.
