Foundation of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Barbados extends its warmest congratulations to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas, the founding instrument of this regional organization.

For more than five decades, CARICOM has stood as an example of unity, integration, mutual respect, and cooperation among the peoples of the Caribbean, fostering sustainable development, political coordination, and the promotion of the region's common interests.

​​​​​​​Cuba Requests Special UN General Assembly Session to Denounce the Intensification of the United States Blockade

Havana, June 30, 2026. Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, announced on Tuesday that the country has requested the convening of a session of the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled for July 7, under the agenda item “Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial and Financial Embargo Imposed by the United States of America against Cuba,” with the aim of denouncing the intensification of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by Washington against the island.

The Embassy of Cuba to Participate in the 2026 Summer Camp in Barbados

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Barbados expresses its sincere appreciation to the Youth Affairs Division of the Office of the Prime Minister of Barbados for the invitation to participate, alongside the Embassies of Colombia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the 2026 Summer Camp.

The Embassy is pleased to join this valuable initiative, which reflects the commitment of the Government and people of Barbados to promoting the learning of Spanish as a second language while fostering cultural exchange and strengthening the bonds of friendship between our peoples.
