Barbadian intellectuals participating in a regional seminar on peace in Cuba.

Headed by the tireless social activist Robert "Bobby" Clarke, a group of Barbadians intellectuals participated as panelists in the Regional Seminar on the implementation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, held in Cuba between 21 and 23 September, following up on the Declaration of the Heads of State of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), adopted in Havana in January 2011. Historian Pan Africanist Aaron "Buddy" Jarrier and political activist, Philip Springer, completed the Barbadian delegation representing the Caribbean progressive social movement and in particular the Caribbean Chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity.
