The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and its Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean sent a letter of congratulations to the National Union of Public Employees (NUPW) of Barbados in the framework of the Annual Conference. The message addressed to its president, Akanni McDowall, was read at its headquarters in Dalkeith Road by Cuban Ambassador Francisco Fernandez, who highlighted the leadership and militancy of the Caribbean Union in defense of workers and the message of solidarity of the working class. We were informed that NUPW Annual Conference will be held this March 23rd .
As WFTU, we`ll be very pleased if you inform the Conference that we have sent this solidarity message letting the workers know that we`re close to NUPW militancy and its leadership; and in disposition to back your just fights defending your rights and achieving justice for all.
