Complying with the invitation by Cuban political and union organizations, a group of historical friends of the Cuban Revolution participated in the celebrations of May Day in Havana and in the traditional International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, as part of an intense program exchange activities that Barbados-Cuba Friendship Association shared with several agencies and entities of society in the greatest Antilles` island. Robert "Bobby" Clarke, David Comissiong, Thelma Gill-Barnett and Philip Springer, also members of the Clement Payne Movement, participated in these workers festive activities, which the Barbadian trade union delegation composed of leaders NUPW and BSTU also joined to celebrate.
Participation by the Cuban people in the massive march was a formidable occasion, new experience for some and repeated to others, which was crowned by sharing the presidential platform with national union and leaders the Revolution, as well as with other international delegations present at the celebrations. It should be noted the invitation to comrade David Comissiong to make a presentation during the International Meeting on behalf of the Caribbean region´s friends, in which he highlighted the solidarity ties that unite our peoples and the international commitment of the Cuban Revolution with our sister nations.
