Barbados at the Sao Paulo Forum in Havana that paid tribute to Fidel Castro

Veteran political and social activist Robert "Bobby" Clarke, founding leader of the People's Empowerment Party, represented Barbados at the 23rd Sao Paulo Forum Meeting held in Cuba from July 15 to 17, 2018, attended by more than 400 delegates of progressive political and social forces of dozens of nations from all continents to discuss strategies against the aggressive neoliberal campaign of the right-wing forces of the region, sponsored by the imperialist center of power, and in this sense, a plan of action was approved with a view to strengthening regional coordination and integration; the closing session of the Forum was dedicated to honor the legacy of the historical leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro, co-founder of the Sao Paulo Forum together with former Brazilian President Lula Da Silva, who received a strong message of solidarity for the unjust and illegal imprisonment he suffers to prevent his re-election as President.
