To know more about the effects of the U.S. blockade and how Cuba responded to it is among the priorities of the Zimbabwe - Cuba Parliamentary Forum.
This was stated by the president of the newly created Zimbabwe - Cuba Parliamentary Forum, Honorable Chen Chimutengwende, during a meeting with the Cuban ambassador Elio Savón Oliva, in which he presented the Forum´s work program for 2017.
This program that will run during the periods on which parliament is in session includes lectures on topics such as: the history of the Cuban liberation struggle, the Cuban cooperation with Zimbabwe, the work of international solidarity with Cuba and how the Cuban Parliament and the Forum´s counterpart in Cuba work.
According to the honorable Chimutengwende, who is also the Vice-President of the Zimbabwe Senate, the Forum will also attend to the recruitment of new members among the Zimbabwean parliamentarians.
