With the participation of Dr. Aleida Guevara March, and before a large audience of journalists and other specialists, the book launch “Ernesto-Che Guevara- Family Album” was held at the Cultural Center of the municipality of Athens. The activity officially launched an ambitious project that includes the publication in Greek of the complete works of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara. This undertaking is carried out by the publishing house New Star Publications in collaboration with the Che Guevara Studies Center (Centro Che) of Cuba, and the publishing house Ocean Press. Dr. Guevara March made an emotional and well-documented presentation of this book that follows the steps of Che as a companion, father and family man, with photographs of his family life and also anecdotes from the archive that his wife Aleida March has lovingly and tenderly preserved. The foreword to the Greek edition was written by Semina Digeni, a journalist and author, who states in one part that, “… besides being a fiery and pioneering revolutionary, a man of integrity, an example of honesty and sincerity, Guevara was also a good family man.” The valuable initiative to undertake this publication in Greek is due to Velissarios Kossyvakis, who offered the opening remarks at the meeting. The Cuban ambassador Aramís Fuente Hernández also spoke.
