UGANDA, October 15, 2018. - The Burundian minister of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS, Dr. Thaddee Ndikumana, received Ambassador Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre at the headquarters of his ministry on the morning of October 10 within the framework of the concurrence visit that the Cuban diplomat made to Burundi between October 8 and 11.
In a frank and friendly atmosphere, Ndikumana and Pubillones reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and discussed about future possibilities of developing and strengthening cooperation in the health sector between Cuba and Burundi.
Both parties expressed the will of their respective governments and peoples to continue working together for the expansion and strengthening of collaboration in the sector on mutually beneficial bases.
The Minister thanked the Cuban medical collaboration in his country until 2015 and underscored the quality and reputation of the Cuban health system worldwide. The Ambassador, for his part, thanked the Burundian leader for his interest in strengthening ties in this area. (Embacuba Uganda)
