H.E. Ms. Liurka Rodriguez Barrios, newly appointed Ambassador of Cuba to Cambodia, payed a courtesy call on Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Khieu Kanharith, at the ministry office this morning.
Both sides informed each other of the situation of COVID-19 pandemic in their respective countries as well as the preventive measures taken.
Ms. Liurka Rodriguez Barrios added that Cuba has recently allowed the docking of a British cruise ship with five confirmed COVID-19 case on board and the process went smoothly as it learned from Cambodia’s past experience of receiving Westerdam cruise ship last month.
The minister and the ambassador spoke highly of the good friendship and mutual support between both countries, stressing that Cambodia thanked Cuba for the past support, while Cuba thanked Cambodia for the present support.
