Cairo, August 13th, 2017 - Cuban residents in Egypt, directors of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association and members of the diplomatic corps gathered at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in this capital to celebrate the 91st birthday of our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
Photos of the stages of Fidel's life and the short film "Mi hermano Fidel", by Santiago Álvarez, which shows his simplicity and humility while talking with a peasant who met Martí, were presented during the gathering. In addition, Kamal Gaballa, president of the Friendship Association, intervened visibly emotionally to reassure their support to the Cuban Revolution.
The reunion also served for the official presentation of the Third Secretary Jorge Mazón Rodríguez and his wife Leyda Machado Oramas, who recently joined the tasks of the Cuban Embassy in Cairo.
