The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Türkiye, Alejandro F. Díaz Palacios, participated in a solidarity gathering in Ankara dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The event, held in Ankara, was also attended by officials of the Embassy of Cuba, Nahide Özkan, President of the Cuba Friendship Association, and Ali Ufuk Arıkan, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP).
During the gathering, participants highlighted the enduring relevance of Fidel’s thought and work, as well as his contribution to the struggles for sovereignty, social justice, and solidarity among peoples. They exchanged views on the legacy of the historic leader of the Revolution and reaffirmed their feelings of friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people and socialist Cuba.
The Embassy of Cuba in Türkiye deeply appreciates this new gesture of solidarity and friendship, which contributes to strengthening the historic ties between Cuba and the social and political forces in Türkiye that stand in solidarity with the Cuban people.
